Hi,
A1 parts washer if the missus is out! Haven't tested for myself, I've been told to put your parts in with a dishwasher cleaning tablet, and jobs a goodun' *wink*
WARNING..... The baskets will not hold a engine block!!!!!! *wink* LOL

That bloke put a cylinder head and various other parts in a dishwasher on a car is born or one of the series he did. i know a couple of people that did it and one that got caught by the missus her face was a picture when she saw him pulling out car parts of her new dishwasher *happy*

The dishwasher tablets turn the aluminium a dull grey so if you like that then fine, dont expect it to remove aluminium oxide though

Anoter trick is cure the paint on your block/head after painting by putting it in the oven, works a treat and stinks a bit though.

Me neither, I wouldn't want all thoes old bits of curry contaminating the head.

My mate has a dishwasher in his garage specifically for cleaning components.

I'm sure it would, and if you put a 'bounce' sheet in it'll come out all nice and soft; making any machining easier.

It works! :) or just use a normal iron with the gasket under a bit of paper did it with carb gasket


Ohh copper head gasket in the oven strightens them back out...
