What can i say - a GREAT purchase for anyone who's a little naive in the engine and transmission rebuild side of things.

Can't say i learnt anything new really; Actually, that's a lie - the 'tool' to get the mainshaft double-roller out is great (no tips - buy the DVD).
The general building and overhauling is very well done. Sure, it doesn't go into detailled blue-printing, and it'd have been ideal noting it's wise to replace the most 'suspect' transmission bearings, rather than re-use, but so what. It shows a hell of a lot in a limited timescale.

Further, it certainly will help those of you afraid of the big gearbox monster living under the engine!

Best thing however, is it isn't JUST a cutting room edit.
EXAMPLES:
1) The flywheel was NOT coming off - even with a hydraulic puller (it did actually jump a bit here, but we'll forgive it for this one).

2) Bill getting seriously confused about cam timing - it happens to anyone who's human and doesn't build engines everyday (but I'm not normally THAT confused!!!!). Again - cut a little short, but the point about checking and re-checking was made.

3) Bill forgetting to put the sump-plug in when filling it up with oil for the fist time. Extremely comical.

All in all - Great work Bill Sollis and the team.
Let the critisim's from 'know it alls' who haven't had the brains or bravery to make such a DVD begin! LOL
*wink*

I bought this dvd from the guy who narrates it's stand at l2b on sunday, that video is bloody amazing for a first time builder like me!

My mate bought a copy on sunday too and hes building a n/a 1330, we built his block and attempted the timing using a portable dvd palyer with that playing in the garage yesterday haha!

Was talking to the guy (ian i think his name is from the dvd) who was the guy selling them at the stand and hes a cool bloke, he was saying that he learnt so much just from standing there watching bill do all the bits.

Its over 4 hours long i think so that gives you an idea if how uch everything is covered, it was such a good buy for me, will/has answered so many patethic questions that i would post on here for you guys hehe
