At last!!! the mini runs, absolutely perfect. And... thank god no oil leaks!!

Just done the 4th oil change on it and this time put in some nice expensive 10/40 to make double sure there is no metal in there.

Im really happy with how nice it drives and runs. Not reved it high yet though so not sure how it will run on boost, first im just going to go over everything and check everythings ok.

Fitting bonnets is a pain in the arse to get them perfect!

Im using the TT map from the FAQ section. Does anyone know what the spec was when it used that? do you know how much boost they were running? will i be ok, until tune up, to use the TT map with just 7psi or should i alter the values a little?

TT map has maximum advance of 26 deg, so should be ok running 7psi, we ran around 18psi.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

thanks *happy**happy*

I am really confused about air fuel. In my other cars ive always put this digital guage in, i have it on the setting that always shows a number. The number is always arround 14.7. it goes up to 20+ when decelerating in gear overrun.

Im going to set the mixture so that its at about roughtly 14.7 for idle.

What i dont understand is the other setting, it also has a Air fuel reading, and its a number then some decimals, its sometimes arround 1.50 or something. Is this the voltage? Also it has a light which turns from green to orange to red for how rich its running.

Is it just two readings for the same thing?

Oh sorry i forgot about that post!!

Well i took the carb off and took it all apart and everything was fine, and as new, no gunk or anything. Put the carb back on, and did daves T piece trick (after checking everything in his guide like renewing the balance pipe etc) and it started fine!

Carb rebuild will be on the list for after avonpark :) Planning on driving it to lake district this weekend though if i can get it tuned and MOT'd in time
