well that was a hoot once again .spectacular runs from denis and nic ,very happy for them ,and thier achievments .
i ran best of 13.96 i think ,but did get a 105.8 terminal i thin k so was happy with that .those falkens may be hindering me SOMEWHAT.
great to meet gary and paul over from the green place ,and all the usual suspects .

v has a load of pics to put on later .now off to kew for her birthday !!

My first visit to a strip.Many thanks to Matt,John and Anton for help,advice,and the odd push start!Managed a 14.66 with 96mph terminal in the end.

Well what can I say,
WHAT a week end.

I have been to the US I'v been to AUS but never got sun burn, Well let's just say I'm gently glowing !

A Hug thanks to all the TM Members who took time to welcome us It made our week end.

Firstly I have to say well done to Dennis, a superb run and hats off to him.

Apart from that about all I can say is well done to Nic!

Aside from a 13.30 as a shake down run on Sat afternoon, I ran consistant 12.7's all weekend, and with no one quicker than 13.3 secs by 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon thought I had it in the bag, then Nic managed to pull a 12.65 from somewhere! All I could manage in response was some spectacular tyre warming, a 2.2 60ft, and an improvement of 2 hundredths from my previous 12.70 to run 12.68, or in other words not fast enough.......

It was inevitable on 1 bar of boost that someone was going to catch up sooner or later, so it will certainly spur on some more development, two years on and its essentially running the same setup as it was initially.

ITS DINGIN! lol, good weekend all round, i proper tatied up the strip! Mr austin has his work cut out to make my car faster lol. More Boost Less Weight me thinks.

tom, why didn't you wind the boost up? I was running 30psi on my last run, but a 60ft of about a week didn't help.

Fist off,i big TM well done to Dennis and Nic , two top results , also to Wiggie and Jim for the effort to get there cars there.
Team force Racing had a better weekend beer wise than results , with the twinnie suffering melted plugs in pot 2 and 3 on run 1 and again on run 2 , clearly there was a problem and time not being on our side parked it up, as Tom says we thought we had it in the bag with a string of 12.7s in class D but Nic the sly young fox found what it took to steal glory, and with a TERMINAL OF 120 MPH was clearly making serious hp,


John Hastons car covered about 20ft before letting go, his crew pulled the head to find the new Ferriday solid copper fire ring setup ,block and head had been cut through from 2 to 3, yet no damage to any plugs which are usually the first to show signs. so a mystery there for sure but i have my theories and its not gasket quality related,

Jim, with no staged boost wired in , upping the boost will ahve just resulted in even more wheel spin,lol.

i'm sure Tom will not be cought out again, or he's fired, lol

Was a good weekend weather could have been better saturday but at least we got a few runs in. Sunday was a good day though.

Well done to Nic what a cracking time, it makes the 10 page thread seem worth it!

I managed a pb of 13.5@103 without many issues so i was happy with that.

i'm the same, dont really get sunburnt over the summer but one day at avon and i'm as red as a beetroot!

I thought the strip flowed quite well, wasnt any hold ups due to oil that we saw.

my forehead is feeling like a piece of KFC chicken, dry and crispy lol
was there any pictures of Nic drunken mayhem?

1972 998 TURBO SLEEPER

Well I'm pretty chuffed that I beat my previous best, managed a 14.5 on Saturday, and have realised that my car is simply to heavy to compete with the saloons.

Great to catch up with everyone again, and some fantastic times by all, even with the largest queues I've ever seen.

Damn Swine Flu!!! I'm feeling like i missed out big time now!

Really want to move forwards with the car this year, hopefully be getting close to making either Avon or MITP 2010...Just hope the bank account can keep up with how fast the progress will need to be to make that deadline!
