Just a couple of questions now that ive stripped my engine.

Conrods - How do u get the old pistons off the conrods?

Core/Gallery Plugs - Whats the best way to get core plugs out the block without damaging the block itself?

CR - Would a CR of 8.5 on a 1293 be sufficient, I basically dont plan to go over 8psi and want a reliable daily driver.

Hi,
To remove pistons you heat up the conrod underneath the piston and then drift the pin out, needs to be pretty hot.
Core plugs ... hammer the middle in to make them shrink, or knock the bottom in and the top comes out, then pull!
I'd go to 9. something :1 with an intercooler, higher the compression the better for fuel economy and off boost driving. Important considerations on a daily driver.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I've always resorted to taking them to a machine shop and getting them to press the grudgen pins out.

Drill a small hole in them, tap it, screw a bolt in and pull it out.
