Hi
I'm wondering where to put a breather on the A+ 998 turbo.

I'm using an MPi manifold, so the tappet cover breather fouls the manifold.
Could i weld this breather to the rocker cover? and blank off the tappet cover?

any suggestions

Cheers
Chris

Hi,
You could go for one on the transfer housing, just drill out the big hole, drill and tap to bolt holes. Get a breather from a 1275 job done.
The cans need to be uprightish, so you're going to struggle to get one on the rocker cover.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

If you are ditching the dizzy use the dizzy hole!

yeah both places will be a problem.
I'm keeping the dizzy and i'm doing a flywheel mounted turbo set up. so the breather will get in the way there.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Sounds like breather on the rocker cover and an oil catch tank is your only simple option.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

chop the can off the rocker cover one and run it to a catch tank.

sure feeb's has done the same thing.

then i'd have one from the rocker cover to the catch tank too.

i currently run one on the timing cover and a large on on the rocker cover to a catch tank and it seems to work.
