Where does the oil take off come from on the block to the turbo?
is it where the oil cooler joins up to the block?
and then the return will be back into the block via the hole where the fuel pump would be if it were mechanical?
Cheers

Hi,
Feed the turbo from the oil pressure switch port via a tee piece. This way you're feeding the turbo with filtered oil :)

Gavin :)

This isn't filtered is it? The T-piece is straight after the pump..

Vegard is actually right I believe, hence why I have my turbo oil feed connection tapped directly above the filter housing on the block.

I'm going to check on this, because i've had this debate before. If Phil Hepworth {Gp A Metro building legend} though it worthwhile tapping the oilfeed from above the filter then there must be a reason ........

Hi,
Phil ... The only reason I can think of is to bypass the bypass valve in the filter head...

Mines got a ally block that sits between filter housing & engine block that the turbo oil feed picks up from.

I think they are hiding in embarassment - well at least they should be *smiley*

I agree with Gavin, Vergard is wrong, trace through the oil ways in the block and you'll see that the take off for the oil pressure gauge is feed directly from the rear oil gallery.

Although I agree with Joe the looser should post a picture of there sister!

I've got no sister, but I could get a picture of my mother if that helps.

Phil, what is it?
