I arrived at T&M in colchester early this morning to pay a visit to "uncle Ray" for the first rolling road session of the year. Changes from last year include a new actuator, pace intercooler and megajolt.

As the megajolt was reading slighty higher boost than my boost guage (15.5psi when boost guage was 14psi) Ray plumbed in his own guage which gave readings identicle to my boost guage-thank god

Ray also checked the ignition timing which also gave the same advance figures as the jolt so all smiles there.

First run at 10psi gave 157 bananas
Second run at 16psi gave 197 bananas
Third run also at 16psi, but Ray suggested a couple more degrees ignition advance to smooth out the power curve. Typically he was right, same power but got rid of a nasty "dip" along its way.
Fourth and final run was at 18psi but i put in a couple of degrees extra ignition retard to slow my heart beat down a touch and this gave 207 bananas!!!

All figures at flywheel with about 27 bananas being soaked up by transmission loss, and Ray said not a whisper of detonation was heard using his det cans.

So after all that i am a very very happy man to say the least, the car felt superb on the way home, and what a nice way to celebrate the cars 30th birthday by cracking the 200 banana skin:)

Glad you broke the 200bhp (eventually!LOL) Im just short by about............150 bhp:) Not my fault if its not turbod!!!!!!!

What I love about MJLjr is that you can wonder into a scrappys, pick up an EDIS that has done 100k miles in a festa and then re-use it to fine tune a cracking engine package like this.

Three years ago I honestly though it would never really take off. How wrong I was.

well done scrot ex result. now im thinking i may bring on board the mega jolt earlier than planed,

what sixe is you intercooler, as thats one area i need to address but will be made easier with the mega jolt as this can free up space at the front of the bonnet
