Will this work with a rear subframe?

James,it's like a big dinner tray someone has glued fins to and you stick it under the mini at the back and you'll go faster and the car will be more stable at high speeds.

It has been designed to fit under the subframe, it will only work with a centre exit exhuast (for obvious reasons)

There is a cut out in the middle to make room for this.

actually i't make you go slower lol,

but you'd be able to pull more G in the corners (on the rear)

Why? It reduces drag. This makes you go faster.

Vegard is "errorless" in his description, the diffuser covers the void where the subframe is.

is my uderstanding of a diffuser completely wrong then?

i thought the were there to create a low pressure onder the rear of the car and suck it onto the road.

You won't manage this with just the rear diffuser. You'll need a convex floor or similar as well. However, it will pull the car down at the rear. It's a reversed spoiler. One name: Henri Coanda.

Made a big difference on the TT. Not a diffuser as such, more a plate to ease the flow of air under the car.

Hi,
Diffuser – this aerodynamically designed part increases rear traction as speed increases. This allows you to run a lot more frontgrip to gain better cornering at low speeds while the diffuser will avoid the car fromspinning in the fast sweepers by increasing rear traction.
Cheers,
Gavin :)
