Personly And i mite be wrong but i wouldn't cut in to the sill. You could come up though the floor in to the rear bin and out the side above the sill, not sure on how legal that would be or not. then box the pipe in to stop people burning things.

seen this a couple of times, and in mini mag about a year ago might even have been on the cover,
as far as i could find out (rules seem to be a bit vague) the exhaust cant stick out past the body work unless its protected (like wider arches over big wheels) and must exit behind the driver. i enquired because i wanted the exhaust out just behind the front wheel*happy*

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

i've thought about a side exit ex, as i like the idea of seeing how the car is running, IE if there is a problem you might soon see the smoke out of the side :)

Hi,
That's going to need a lot of floor cutting out and welding back up. Then you may run into issues with getting it through an MOT.
I wouldn't do it if I had to ask how.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I used to have on on the very original TT back in 2000.

Changing it to a more normal layout (i.e. out the back) improved power and useful RPM. This isn't to say this is always the case, maybe my length was just wrong.

Hardly able to pass an MOT now is it, lol. However, do the regs say anything about the exhaust exiting above the head as that is clearly what Fastcarls twiny extractor pipes do*happy*

Mind you, I liked the original exit of the wastegate on DON *happy*

I was wandering if the regs allowed this in mod prod (can't think of a reason why they wouldn't mind) but you've answered my question.

I'm being told elsewhere that anything behind the front axle/wheel is fine as long as it doesn't protrude too much.
