Forgot about this lol, still not my favorite though ![]() That begs the question as to what was? Mine was the oill change where the lad told everybody to turn the engine over to get every last drop of oil out. I think the one about grinding the centre main cap flat with an angle grinder to fit the retaining strap was best. Best because the author, after a few "comments" on how sensible this was, edited the post to using a machine shop..... but copies of his/her original suggestion of using and angle grinder for precision machining remain in the thread. Second best was how to machine a standard 8.4" disc down for Fiesta calipers by putting the car on axle stands and in gear and using an angle grinder while the discs were running under engine power.... Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Well i dont know what all the fuss is all about. Ive just tried it but used some old garden hose to join the two pieces of trumpet. I have injected some old engine oil in the gap and I must say the ride is greatly improved now |

Pouring sand into the carb to port the head whilst the engine is running is a good one. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

All brilliant ideas, we should build an entire car using the best ideas and see how it turns out. If your wife wants to learn to drive, don't stand in her way. |

wasnt it someone on here that striped the head off after spotting a "washer" in the chamber... which turned out to be an open valve :)

Thats the same knob sock who couldn't get his sump plug out so took the oil filter off and ran his engine till the oil stopped coming out to do an oil change. Edited by John on 14th May, 2010. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
