yeh it is the standard 1275 metro turbo piston. the older one 20831. the ring i have fit the piston, but the oil control ring is too large (fits but does not compress down and is proud of the piston)

tried the said contacts with no joy. I have sat down with the mini Zen Man (my dad) and after takin the piss out of me he reckons "Pistons off the rods son, then get them machined to suit !" apparently he did this with a set of cosworth pistons when they stopped making the ringsets. so the actionplan is

Rob. at the time i posted on ure thread, i had not placed the pistons in the bores, and the rings appeared to fit spot on, obviously not the case now :(

here you go vegard. i tried my best i measured the psitons with my shite vernier....me pops took the digital one when he left me mum the diameter was 70mm exactly. they do not fit in the bores of my turbo (only just though)

the number under the psiton which 8nt showed up is AE 413 then on the other side of the gugeon pin is HG
