i know keans got his wideband lambda in his link pipe and it works fine cos he didn't fancy welding onto his mirage manifolds. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

For a wideband lambda sensor to last any amount of time it needs to be kept below 800 degrees celsius.

Don't want to keep banging on but if you want your wideband sensor to last have a look at the warnings at the bottom of this page.

This now sits (horizontally) in the downpipe, at a point in line with the two holes in the rear 'mouts outriggers' on the front subby. This is a good place for it - out of the way of damage from the road and far enough away from the turbo (i feel) to avoid damage. In fear of dragging up an old thread I'll still do it: http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=1010 So WTF is going on Dave? You're like a politician :) On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Vegard, TD is not doing the politician thing. Basically the difference in position is due to using two different Lambda sensors, narrow band and wide band.

The max temp on the wide band is more critical to avoid damage. The narrow band, especially early ones needed exhaust heat put into them to operate and are generally mounted closer to the exhaust port face. Regards Dave Bla bla bla. Dave is right again, Vegard is stupid, been there done that bought the T-shirt etc.... On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
