Had a bad rear end crash last nite, spun 180 degrees and took a rear wheel clean off aswell as buckling the rear subframe, panel work damage etc, so my top spec Morspeed turbo challenge engine is now up for grabs.

Front of the car is immaculate, this photo of the engine was taken only on friday:

Ready to drop into your Mini / Metro. This has been recently set up at Mikeanics to give 157 BHP and 170 lb ft @ 15psi (with graphs). Just needs mappable ignition for 200BHP is you so desire.

Engine has covered 4000 miles since its build last year, and its spec is:

Block
Machined for a steel centre main strap, tapped for 11-stud cylinder head fixings (normally 9 studs), 5/16 sump, stress relieved block internals to help drain oil, bored and honed +020” to bring the capacity up from 1275cc to 1293cc. Block deck milled to accept JE pistons. New cam bearings, oilways and core plugs.

Cylinder Head
Morspeed Stage 4 head (29cc). Race valves 35.7mm inlet, 30.0mm exhaust, bronze guides, 180lb Springs, single top caps, tapped for 11 stud fixing. Fitted with 1.5 roller tip rockers.

Crankshaft
Re-ground, wedged, bladed, hardened, balanced and with fitted new VP2 bearings.

Con-rods and Pistons
JE Forged 18cc Turbo Pistons, lightened and polished con-rods. Bushed to accept small gudgeon pin. Fitted with ARP bolts.

Compression Ratio 8:1

Camshaft
Avonbar Racing T2 Turbo cam, steel duplex timing gears, high flow Turbo oil pump.

Gearbox
Straight cut, close ratio gearbox fitted with straight cut drop gears, new idler shims and primary shims. Ultra lightweight billet steel flywheel and billet steel backplate. AP bonded race clutch.
KAD Quickshift kit.
AP hydraulic clutch conversion.

Turbo
Garrett T3 Turbo modified by Owen Developments with their 360 Thrust bearing , fitted with 15psi actuator.
Braided oil feed pipe. Forge silicone oil return elbow.
Group A aluminium Forge dump valve.
Green Cotton cone air filter.
In car bleed valve.

Intercooler
Custom Forge Motorsport alloy intercooler, plumbed in using 50mm internal diameter blue silicone hoses.

Carburettor
HIF 44 Turbo Carb, rebuilt using Avonbar Racing high boost rebuild kit. High boost dash pot spring. Modified profile fuel needle.
Plenum chamber modified by Bailey Motorsport to accept dump valve, custom aluminium adaptor plate to allow intercooler fitment.

This is the car it is currently in. Can be heard/seen running.

Absolutely gutted to sell, I have spent £9000 on the car to date. All reciepts to go with the engine.

£offers please guys :(

Hi,
That's got to worth repairing or re shelling as it's a very tidy motor, that's obviously had a lot of time and money put into it.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I've managed to give it a real good impact at the rear drivers side corner, the subframe is bent and so are all of its mounting points.

I could re-shell it, but that would mean alot of personal time required to complete, and to be honest I've had the wind knocked out of my sails.

I'm just going to sell what I can and see what I can do with the proceeds.

Thanks for the nice comments guys :(

I will no doubt have another sleepless night tonight, I've got such a busy head.
