Hi, am building up a 1293 turbo engine (yet to be re-bored) but need advice on what pistons i should use to achieve the correct compression ratio. The head is standard turbo with slight port work. Could anybody tell me what sort of compression ratio i would get using the omega 10cc dish pistons from avonbar? Or advise me on what i should use? Want to order parts this week as want to get it re-built asap so any advice/ answers would be aprreciated. Thanks

It depends on what sort of boost/hp you plan on running.

Any ideas?

Hi,
10 psi with an intercooler should be possible on the standard CR oversized pistons. The more you drop the CR the more lag you'll get and the more fuel you'll use...

The standard pistons are virtually bullet proof (there is a post with pictures, do a search) although if i'm correct they are not available in the first +20 oversize..

Read this post, has a lot of info on pistons:
