Im looking for that thread where people were dicussing different f/ds and posting up graphs showing wheel speeds in differnet gears etc

Trying to determine which f/d will give me the right 2nd/3rd shift spot.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Joe

Joey,

I think this might be the one ?

http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=126550

Also John did this for me, the gears are run from 2000 rpm to 7000 rpm, I guessed the torque curve, key points - 120 lb/ft at 3000rpm, max torque 135 @5500, max bhp 140 @5500, holding good torque to 7000 were I've used 90 lb/ft. reasonable for a well developed turbo motor? the figures in the chart are at the wheels - a 20% drop from flywheel figs was used. based on the torque curve you can see the additional accelerative force avaialble if you used a 3.44 in place of a 3.2 for not a lot of drop in speed in the gears. If someone has a "real" torque curve of around 140bhp we could input this to compare diff ratios more accurately

Hope this helps

Cheers
