Im not running a heater on my n/a at the moment but when i got the car, someone had blocked the takeoff at the clutch end of the head with a bolt and the same on the bottom hose where it circulates back in! Not sure if this is alright, i guess just not running a heater or heated inlet manifold so i think it might be ok? |

I have no idea! My old n/a stage 4 never had a take off on the end at all! But in the casting you could see where to drill a hole for the takeoff if you wanted to run one

Anything you can take out of #4 end water wise is a good plan as they generally run hot at that end of the head. Every day is a school day ...........

would it be ok to run from the head through the heater then the water-cooled turbo, then a sandwhich plate in the thermostat housing?

It would get a bit hot in the cabin cos you wont be able to turn the heater off otherwise the turbo gets no water!! but if you mean just a heater core mounted in the engine bay.... no reason why not, it still cools the water. website:- http://www.terryhunt.co.uk

There are several options to this but none are neat and satisfactory really.

Sorry to comment on an old thread, however I could do with some advise on the same issue, as per my post:
