OK, I've searched the forum and found quite a few photos (some broken links too?) but only one thread that gives measurements.

"help needed/bulkhead box in realation to subby" (I've put the link at the bottom because for some reason, the preview bombs out at this line otherwise so I don't know if the link actually works).....

When I use these measurements (17th post in thread) and mark it out on mine, it seems further to the left (wiper motor) than most and I think this is confirmed by the photo in the thread.

Others seem to go as far to the right (pedal box) as possible and some also put a 45 degree "blend" to the left tower plate.

In my photo, the measurements from the thread are in red, the furthest right I think I can go (without interfering with the pedal box support plate) is in blue and where I think the 45 degree blend should go, in black.

The box, in the photo for reference, is Milamber's latest and suspended above the red lines.

As I want to keep all options open for the future, are my blue/black lines the best, or am I going to cause myself some other problems I haven't thought about...

Rod.

And the link that gave me the measurements...

Reference the link above.

The blue line is the one to use. You also need the triangular piece - maybe not right upto the inner wing support piece, but getting close to it - again - look at the pics in my link. There is a pic in there to show what happens if you don't put in the extra 'triangular' piece.

Agree with blue/black lines. the thread you mention "help needed/bulkhead box in realation to subby" was a thread I started for my minus (grp shell) please dont confuse your self by looking at any pics I have posted of my bulkhead/bay as there are a few differences to a steel shell.
Cheers
shane.

Shane, yes, understood - the way I read the thread is that you had asked for someone to get you measurements off a steel shell for you to compare, but I may have mis-read it..
Anyway, I'm now happy with my blue/black lines, so thanks to all of you who have confirmed it. I shall be cutting next week!

Hi

Have a look at an old post of mine here http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=145100 if you want the dimensions of my custom bulkhead box PM me and I'll send them to you.

You can make one yourself if you can use a welder.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt... Then it's hilarious!
