and this

As I have no servo so there is room for the bleed screw, I'd like to know if can I use a non verto slave cylinder on a verto clutch setup.

Thanks

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Concerning this, is the rod in the slave the same length between Verto and not as well?

The thing is. I just rebuilt a gearbox, that the local Rover dealer fitted to a Mini. It still crunches when gearing fast. As we all know, sometimes it's necessary to use a longer slave rod in Pre Verto Minis. Could this be necessary on a Verto clutch? Has anyone experienced this?

I haven't tried bleeding the clutch as of yet, but I'm clutching at at straws on this, ( Pun intended)

New synchro rings etc..

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

On the Verto, the throw out stop should be adjusted to give 6.5mm clearance between the nut and the wok, with the release bearing in contact with the thrust sleave (basicaly pull the arm away from the engine till it takes up the slack)

If the throwout stop never touches the wok after adjustment, there is hydraulic problems. If it does touch then its the gearbox?

Edit: The adjustment only ever applies to a new un worn clutch, because, as the clutch wears the measured gap becomes larger to achive the same throw out*oh well*
