MG Metro / Mini Turbo Engine

Got a MG metro turbo engine, fitted it to my mini last month, now got the thrill of the boost and bought a modified engine instead.

Sale consists of:-

MG metro cylinder head (removed from engine to check bores etc)
MG metro block and gearbox, still attached complete with flywheel etc.
The flywheel is a lightened variety, with a AP bonded rally/turbo plate and Grey diaphragm.
MG metro turbo dizzy, electronic ign.
Garret T3 turbo complete, no play in turbo, spins freely, no smoke etc when running
Inlet manifold
Turbo HIF44 carb.
Oil cooler (no hoses though sorry)
MG metro 'fin' rocker cover in black

The engine was running in my car and i have a video of it in action, as well as pictures which I will post when I return from work this afternoon.

When the cylinder head was removed, i took it to our local race tuners, who said it is 100% a genuine turbo head. They also suggested having it skimmed slightly to clean the surface and get a better seal. So this was done, the cost was £50 alone.

engine is located in north east england, but will deliver or meet half way etc at cost of petrol. I don't mind traveling anywhere in the mainland UK.

Yes it was. With 50+ watching and bidders then ebay decided to pull my auction because i had put "advertised elsewhere". It will go back on ebay if i get no interest elsewhere, need a quick sale as i dont have space for it and i need the cash to finish my new turbo engine build.

Could do with it out of the way this weekend. Offers by PM if your interested. Can deliver in mainland UK (not ireland sorry) over this weekend, but next week im abit busy to deliver any big distance.

Afew actually. Green and whites in durham are proven race tuners. I also know a guy in south sheilds who mainly does V8's but sometimes builds and sells 1380 mini engines.

was this the one with the goosed rings you posted up in the help section a while back ? or a different one ? you have had a few so i cant keep up psml you keep scourcing the damn things

Mind Lance, by his own admissions knows little to nothing about forced induction tuning, he can advise on Supercharging but only a little. he specialises in 8 porting and big race N/A stuff :) there is no one now who will do forced induction A series. Neil at R n P woods used to be good with Turbo shizzle but he is Now a medic Paul is canny but is not best with SU carbs, he is great with Webbers and 45's but pants with SU :) I reckon Bogg Brothers in Malton would be the nearest reputable tuner

When i spoke to R n P woods about my turbo engine and rolling road, they were stumped. They said "we do chips and power runs mainly". Mini Master gave me the impression they only know SU carbs. I am taking my car down to country when I get round to having it rolling road tuned.

there`s a very good reason why paul would not want to get involved in turbo mini`s again ,,, lol.
