I have seen a few clutch covers that have been drilled now, like mikes below.

I dont think it matters tbh, ive seen miglia covers with massive holes. Also i personally wouldnt put mesh behind the holes. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

the mesh idea was more related to everyday running incase something got in thru the grill and ended up going thru a hole.

After reading through the threads minimole linked, what is the actual point in drilling holes in the cover?

the vent above the clutch is for the transfer gears bud, the vents in the wok is just to keep the clutch a little cooler, they can get quite toasty "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

i can see the benifits as per heat and such but has anybody had one that say water or possibly oil form a leaky rocker cover etc etc has got in? can see that being abit annoying |

you dont want bits dropping in there and then being catapulted about the casing by the flywheel. if you are concerned when building it, just pop a cloth over the end casing until you have finnished with all the nut and bolt jobs :)
