Well my motivation has hit an all time low, last weekend I achieve jack and this weekend is not looking any better, my plans for tomorrow involve making some stilton & broccoli soup.

EDIT: For some mad reason for the last month or so I've been really fired up to get back out on the snowboard, just a shame it's the middle of the summer :(

same here too, i thought avon park would spur me on but i still cant be arsed to go into the garage. instead i've been tring to source a b16 engine for my crx..

the mini has just become a storage device in the garage now, i can't bring myself to start saving for a new gearbox either.

well my motivation is rediculously high!! i just keep on wanting to work on the thing!!

problem is i cant because my dad has filled up the garage which i emptied so as that i could use it for the mini. so now i have to spend another £400 odd on a shed so as that i can have my space back again!

its been that way for an easy 2 months now and i am fucked right off! thats money i need to spend on a decent welder, or could spend on some pistons, benross head fucking anything..... could have the bodywork nearing the end by now but instead im still right at the beggining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry just venting...

Well my motivation took a hiding today aswell. NEVER try and put a 1098 crank in an A+ block. And I dropped my big end caps about 600 times. I'm about 18 months into my parts collection/engine build and I'm getting very impatient.

On a positive note, I drove a mini for the first time in about three months this week. It was amazing fun. That was only a poxy MPI so now I can't wait to get mine back on the road.

If you need help getting motivated, drive a fucking Renault. It will really make you appreciate your mini and you'll be itching to drive it again

my motivation is low with the mini too. so many wee jobs on it that need doing but i just cant be arsed. When this happens i usually jsut leave it for a month or 2 then come back to it. if i force myself to work on it when i dont wan to itll quickly become a chore instead of a hobby and i'll loose interest!

What a coincidence! Today ive been feeling really pissed off and fed up with mine.

Been trying to decide what its worth at the moment and selling on all the engine bits ive been buying for it towards getting me an AE86!

But it always comes down to me thinking fuckit, if i try to sell it now its not worth anything and ive got all the bits which i wont get the money back on.

More importantly i owe it to my addiction over the last 4 years in which ive been waiting for this engine to be in my car and working. If i sold up now or didnt put this turbo motor in I can definitely say I will regret it!

So i'm going to get my engine built up as much as I can one way or another ASAP before I make a bad decision. Thinking about it has made me realise i dont have much left to buy/put together and it will become a reality, so im feeling more enthusiastic already!!

Just keep imagining what its like when done, thats whats got me by haha.

Hi,
I can't work out if it's a lack of time or lack of motivation. Either way not much is getting down!
Best get out there, I've made a list! *surprised*
Keep at it Rob :)

I'm still really motivated.

I had the hump with it for about 2 hours after the rolling road session, but then just got on with it and pulled it to bits.

I'm so close now, so there is no stopping me!

In the 13's at last!.. Just

france, austria or Switz for us i think. (i was super tempted by a super nice burton custom yesterday...the one i rented last year was awesome on and off piste although, it was abit hard on the back leg off piste but most are.)

Same here*oh well* But here it's due to the fucking heatwave we're having.
The garage becomes a fucking oven as soon as you open the door.
And still need to sort out the other garage I'm going to be renting so I can get all my useless shit out of this one.

Why is it you can never depend on other people to get something done quickly or get back to you asap, seeing as it's in their interest cos you're gonna be paying them???ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well i haven't got any enthusiasm either, the short engine is almost finished now and the box is on the bottom. Now gotta get some new valve stem seals for my k head as the machine shop threw them away. Getting closer now though but mitp is going to be a struggle as i'm running a car at nurburgring next weekend. Oh well!

Not sure where I'm going yet, been looking at the three valleys in France but will have to see. Would love to get back out to Colorado again, but it's a tad pricey, for both flights an accommodation. Japan is meant to be really good for powder, but it's not the cheapest of places and a bit of a long trek to get to. Don't mention buying boards, I really want an Arbor board but I can't really justify it, especially as my current board is more than enough for me.

I am low here too. Been waiting on my baulks and SC gear set from Minispares for 2 months now (apparently they're having quality issues), my engine steady from Avonbar for 4 months and my oil feed for 4 months. The gearbox is stripped down but now I'm stuck until they send my gear kit out. Front subframe is stripped and rebuilt but I can't be bothered putting it back in. I have to fab an oil return plate for the turbo, mod the IC to fit and make up brakets for the actuator etc but I have dropped the ball. To top it off I am heading to Liverpool soon to do a talk so I need to sort that, then Spain for another one. Plus I still haven't got the PhD submitted so I'm working on that too. Not enough time :( .
