Well my motivation has hit an all time low, last weekend I achieve jack and this weekend is not looking any better, my plans for tomorrow involve making some stilton & broccoli soup.

Well my motivation took a hiding today aswell. NEVER try and put a 1098 crank in an A+ block. And I dropped my big end caps about 600 times. I'm about 18 months into my parts collection/engine build and I'm getting very impatient.

my motivation is low with the mini too. so many wee jobs on it that need doing but i just cant be arsed. When this happens i usually jsut leave it for a month or 2 then come back to it. if i force myself to work on it when i dont wan to itll quickly become a chore instead of a hobby and i'll loose interest!

EDIT: For some mad reason for the last month or so I've been really fired up to get back out on the snowboard, just a shame it's the middle of the summer :( very strange! ive been thinking exactly the same! planning our next trip already...when/where. ive been seriously thinking about japan...but thats abit extreme at the moment maybe in a couple of years. france, austria or Switz for us i think. (i was super tempted by a super nice burton custom yesterday...the one i rented last year was awesome on and off piste although, it was abit hard on the back leg off piste but most are.) damn you!!!!! i really want to go now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Well i haven't got any enthusiasm either, the short engine is almost finished now and the box is on the bottom. Now gotta get some new valve stem seals for my k head as the machine shop threw them away. Getting closer now though but mitp is going to be a struggle as i'm running a car at nurburgring next weekend. Oh well! |

Not sure where I'm going yet, been looking at the three valleys in France but will have to see. Would love to get back out to Colorado again, but it's a tad pricey, for both flights an accommodation. Japan is meant to be really good for powder, but it's not the cheapest of places and a bit of a long trek to get to. Don't mention buying boards, I really want an Arbor board but I can't really justify it, especially as my current board is more than enough for me. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

I am low here too. Been waiting on my baulks and SC gear set from Minispares for 2 months now (apparently they're having quality issues), my engine steady from Avonbar for 4 months and my oil feed for 4 months. The gearbox is stripped down but now I'm stuck until they send my gear kit out. Front subframe is stripped and rebuilt but I can't be bothered putting it back in. I have to fab an oil return plate for the turbo, mod the IC to fit and make up brakets for the actuator etc but I have dropped the ball. To top it off I am heading to Liverpool soon to do a talk so I need to sort that, then Spain for another one. Plus I still haven't got the PhD submitted so I'm working on that too. Not enough time :( . On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
