I have never had a ford one from a scrapyard that doesn't work with edis. A coil is a coil, Ford are good at making things the same.

Hi,
I think moost people use the same one as there's a set of leads off the shelf that fits the Mini quite well.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

I would use the right coil - or you will burn out your edis...

A coil is not a coil... they vary, hence different part numbers.

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Have searched about and this post almost got me an answer...

... a long and frustrating story cut short, I've got a Megajolt setup but no coil pack. Not such a problem, a new one is pretty cheap; but what to get?! From searches, I've ended up with a few different opinions but I think this is a fairly common choice could somebody please confirm?!

As for leads;

Any ideas what the leads in question are? And this "fit a Mini"; does it assume the coil pack is mounted on the flywheel housing? Or bulkhead?

Many thanks in advance from a mech eng trying to understand the witchcraft of MJ *oh well*

Dave

PS last one (sorry!) where can I pick up a lead to connect the MJ to my laptop? this thread () concerned me in that some people seem to have tried several before finding one that suits. Thanks again.

Edit; Poor grammar *wink*
