The first lap was a bit like wacky races and at one moment I was surrounded by about 6 German minis, they were like the Luftwaffe. A lot of the slower mini’s dropped out and one of the Germans was trying to overtake me on a tight bend and snapped the bottom arm retaining bolt which made him spin out into the armaco.

nice bit of writing simon ,really paints a picture .*happy* bet you were humming the dambusters or great escape ?

Excellent write up, and those M3's look bizarre in tight convoy!

I sat for about 1hr watching them. It was 180 Euros for a lap in a M3 with a Touring car driver.

Here is some more vids and pics for you lot.

At the boat.

400 miles in, and the wife is not liking the sound of boost.

Some big house we went to when the tack was closed (my thinking was the roads to get there would be good fun:))

On the start line before the hr long sprint on the ring.

Fixing the oilcooler in the carpark.

A big ring center with not alot in it.

We was bored on the last night.

Cooling down at calais, after the 7hr run back to the boat we only stopped for 30 mins which i just let it idle.

A vid of my 2nd run, with my wife keeping me right

more vids to come when they up load...........

OOOO yes this how i hope to get into the 13 teens at MITP, its a bit hard but.

I'm not sure you've written what you mean here!!!

Good work though. Epic journeys are always good fun.

Bloody fantastic. Well done!

I've got breakdown cover which covers Europe but still wouldn't be confident enough to take the mini all that way. My arse and clutch foot wouldn't be up to it either.

One thing. In your video it sounds like the dump valve is not working.
