Well after a few weeks pottering away I'm getting closer to having the turbo 998 in.

Little fiddly things to do really, sort the oil retun, fit the fuelp pump (wiring and hoses etc.), finish fitting the IC, make the exhaust return blah, blah..........

Hi there, that looks ace, is that the same car that was for sale a while back on one of the vaxhall/nova forums?, I really fancied it but havent got the room.

My uncle had one of these a few years back with a 1380 in it and really low diff it was great laugh away from the lights, only difference was it had twin round front lights, we called his the flying gritbin!

-great project will be ace with a 998 turbo

Cheers

Just a road car, it's not really elligable for any class that it'd be competative in.

Yes, it's the car from the Nova forum.

This is where the IC fits.

Manifold is an MBH (Matty Home Brew) with an IHI RHF4 on it.

I'm looking for 110 to 120 bhp.

It's a Sabre Sprint http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=330422

Well progress is a bit slow, things keep holding me up, but if all now goes to plan should be started before the weekend.

The manifold is a Matty special for the IHI, and I made the downpipe.

Head is Benross special.

Is the fuel pump held on with a main bearing cap?

Car weighs about the same as a mini, maybe 20kgs less maximum.

Pump is held on with the other end of the exhaust clam that's holding the filter on.

Ahh! that makes a lot more sense than using a main bearing cap.

Well it's finished and runs, just a few snagging issues such as a water leak, and the RTS clutch needs work. Then I'll get the wide band on and go for a drive.

Some photos
