Anyone heard of it or used it before?

It's a 1-D engine simulation package which can predict performance, amongst many other things.

I'm using it for my uni project and thought it would be good to try and model a turbo mini engine for optimisation purposes.

Just wondering if anyone has modelled one before? (no point reinventing the wheel and all that).

I did one for a N/A mini a few years ago using Lotus simulation

I think this software is easier to use than Wave and certainly has better exhaust modelling methodology

Very useful for seeing what's going on in the intake and exhaust ports.

Unfortunately the department has Wave so that's what i'll have to use.

I'm using it to try and make some performance improvements to our formula student engine. Currently it's pretty much standard other than the intake.

Been doing all the tutorials over this week. Seems ok. biggest problem is we can't have room to put the engine on a dyno, so it'll be difficult to validate the data. trying to convince the department to give me the space.

With regards to modelling a mini engine the biggest problem will be getting the forced induction correct. All the feedback required makes it very tricky to do.

I'll look through my uni stuff sure I've got some info great software but the turbo charging stystem will be fun!!!

no, im sorry dan ,i dont .none of my models are around any more .must make a new one sometime , it was about 5 years ago i was using it .
