I recently updated to tunerstudio v1.0 and since then the readings shown on screen for water and air temperature are wrong.
It has to have been the update because I was sat in the car when I did the update. Before the update they were fine.

The sensors originally needed calibrating using easytherm (im running MS1 extra). The inc files are still in the correct folder and I have tried writing them again but with no success.

I believe the ECU still reads correctly because it is set to alter the spark timing based on coolant temp and it changes the timing in proportion to real temperatures, not the -10 degC that tunerstudio tells me it's at.

I've asked on the megasquirt forum and pm'd the creator LT401Vette but have not had a response.

I'd like to try installing the previous version of tunerstudio but my computer tells me I have a newer version so it won't install the older one. If I uninstall will I loose my tunes and premium license?

I'm not familiar with MS1/Extra.

Have you tried recalibrating them to new data? With MS2/Extra, you enter 3 sets of resistance/temperature data for each sensor.

with MS1/Extra you have to re-flash the microprocessor with the new sensor data. This is done easiest with easytherm. The same data then needs to be given to tunerstudio by putting three files in the tune directory.

Like I say, the megasquirt seems fine and I managed to get one response on the MS forums that said the data on it shouldn't have changed.

SO i don't know why tunerstudio is wrong.

EDIT: Haven't tried new data because it's not that quick to do and the ECU seems correct

It could be something as simple as it has defaulted back to farenheight in TS (being an american programme) but the calibration tables in the MS flash memory are still correctly in centigrade.

I would avoid trying to go back a version - I learnt the hard way it's impossible (unless things have changed since my "experience") - I hardly ever use it anymore (MegaTunix is much better and free, although it does take a bit longer to set up) but on the occassions I do use TS, I allways refuse the upgrades so I'm on quite an old (but stable) version.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
