Hi guys i have been pointed in this direction by the good people of the mini forum as i am due to start building a 1293 turbo engine, this will be my first attempt at an engine build, so please be patient. Along with this i am taking delivery of a shell on bank holiday monday to accompany the engine so a total rebuild of everything, hopefully to all be done by me including the welding and spraying, so wish me luck.

hi guys thanks for the warm welcome i have been using the search function and have been going through the basics so far, this has helped me come to the decision to go for the 1293 turbo as i have room to re-bore if things go wrong as i want to go for around about 140 - 150 bhp mark but torque and drive-ability are more important to me. i can see this being an expensive project that i will not rush. the shell just come up at a very good price and local so was to good to refuse as this engine was going to go into my current mini. |
