Mornin, got a question to the welders on here. I have brought myself a manifold to cut and weld on the b16, i went to order a pack of rods but didnt know which grade of ss or what size really, just wondering if anyone has any enlightenment for me?

you will idealy need to know what grade of stainless the pipework is to allow for the best compatibility. If your not sure you can get diff rods or 316 which should do the job

I usually use 1.6mm rods but its a bit of a personal thing. 316 or 308 rods will be OK.

I think ill order a load wolfie, then i can make the alternator brackets and any other extras up in stainless.

mail order from r-tech they deliver quick, there is a welding place on shrivenham 100 bus park but i have never used it
