Now Ive got my head apart I am thinking of tidying the ports up a little.

Don't 'open up' the inlet ports anymore than they are. If anything, they need to be smaller.

That was my concern. I have a "scrap head" that has had porting done on one of the chambers and that part has been removed.

You can see on the top pic, on the inlet port it goes from cast finish to smooth and there is a ridge just before the valve.

I would just make it smoother at the top and leave it, i did a light porting on my 8v k nothing major just cleaning up and smoothing the bumps on the start of the inlet tract Drives

ah now I see what you mean. In my opinion, that needs some work, but the flow bench will tell you exactly whats going on in that area, and what needs doing. It might be doing nothing at the moment if there is flow seperation before it on that short side turn.

is just where the boring out for the valve seat meats the casting, clean it up,and knife edge the divider,
