Anyone tried these for dynamic balancing? I am considering going at the weekend to get the running gear balanced. He's done A-Series before.

He said £110 + VAT, sounds reasonable to me but I have not had anything balanced before.

i know this guy he used to be based out of stanton motorsport just down the road they build some very hot bristol engines and they use him

Dynamic balancing as in rods and pistons in the block?

Brett... is that expensive?
Sam... yes dynamic for the crank, flywheel, transfer gear and damper pulley, plus static of the rods and pistons

i had mine balanced on 'the most accurate machine in the country' same as cosworths f1 machine (only 2 of these machines in uk or so im told)
for 75quid
tolerance of zero.zero (or 0.01...)

my crank was already balanced 'to 15000rpm' or what ever gets said on the forum, and this machine took another 7g out of various places

im not saying its anybetter than the rest but does make you wonder...

£110 is a good price as it includes the rods aswell ( i did my own)

i dont think thats expensive no, we cant all have the hyadron superbalancer in our town can we brett haha

south cerney engineering is also local to you i know they dont do balancing but they may know of another local firm? all you can do is ask about locally as posting items like that negates any discount u may get by going further afield
