i like that, however considering you would need to completely redesign the mini head and over the last 2 years we've just got billet ali i think its gonna be a while |

That is fantastic. You could get some amazing camshaft profiles that aren't currently possible due to the amount of jerk created. I especially like the concept of storing air during engine braking and using it to drive the engine at a later time. |

We discussed this at college years ago, some f1 team made an engine work but who it was for love I can not remember its a cracking idea but problem.

We were working with hydraulically actuated valves 20 years ago at Lotus! Apart from a single cylinder test engine, they had an Excel running around with them fitted.

I had a copy of an ancient car mechanics magazine from the '70s that had an article on a cam-less engine. I will also say the Koenigsegg series on the Drive channel is brilliant, Christian seems a really smart but down to earth guy. On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:
