Hi Guys

Been a bit busy in the garage this week end, finally *smiley*Another one of Nic s fantastic plenums...*smiley*

Got my hoses from merlin, and stainless pipes from pipe werx, they seem to fit quite well from my instructions over the phone*smiley*

The return pipe actually feels cold to the touch on tick over, god knows how cold it is at 70 lol, plenum gives nice smooth cool route back to carb.

Cheers

Thanks man,

*smiley*

You really can hear the turbo more and it seems nicer on boost and not much lag, and you get that chicker chicker sound when you change gear.

No servo....

Yep , you really have to push the pedal to stop lol, its quite scary if you have just been driving a modern car lol.

Cheers

Must admit, its probably one of the most enjoyable jobs I've done on the car (all clean etc).

Need to get the intercooler sprayed up now.

Thanks guys,

Yep always like the clubman as my first one was a clubby, and my dad had one to. *smiley*

I must admit fitting an intercooler is probably the No.1 mod that needs to be done if you are using a turbo. imo.*smiley*

Horndean - Near Portsmouth

Your car is awsome Brocky.

Very clean looks great!! Thinking of getting a mk1 plate lamp too, look alot better than the massive mk3 ones!

How did you get the back box like that? Its obv a centre exit front pipe and back box, did you weld a bend in just before the back box?

Looks wiked!

Rich

EDIT: Happy Birthday by the way!!

Hello everybody

Well it was my 30th birthday this weekend so I booked my self onto the local sprint track for monday morning for a treat.

I can safely say its the most fun I have had with all my clothes on in years....*smiley*

I checked all the fluids, fitted a new throttle cable an off we went...

My mate Richard joined me with his MR2 which he has just put a 2 litre Beams red top in.

The track is an oval with a figure of 8 cross over section.

We got the track to our selves for an hour for the princely sum of £35...

I was a little damp, and the mini was spinning a wheel in 3rd, but after 30mins or so it started to dry a bit

Richards brakes were smoking after 10 mins of his stint so I got back on. I manage to get the mini sideways exiting one of the corners but got it back, I think I need to gets more neg camber on the back.
Enjoy the photos comments welcome*smiley*

I think I could be back on the track in a few weeks so will get some one to take a video camera.

Thanks to Richard also for the photos,*smiley*

Cheers

Nice one man,

Took it out last night and really screwed the arse off it, sounds funny but the harder you push it the better it responds*smiley**smiley**smiley*

My reactions are getting sharper, and its almost second nature to steer into the inevetable torque steer.... *smiley*.

When are going to finally go for this group buy for the quaife lsd's ????????????

I would like one of the new ones that accepts standard crown wheels and pot joints...*smiley*

I need to check myself tho as it would be a shame to lose it lol*smiley*
