Hi,
My swirl pot turned up today. I thought I'd post a pic 'cause it's nice and shiney, and may be helpful for reference for someone?

Cheers,
Gavin :)

IIRC it de-airates the fuel so that the fuel that the fuel pump gets doesnt have lots of little air bubbles in it. the return form the fuel pressure regulator and the feed from the tank will go into the 2 feeds on teh left. pump will draw from the bottom and the top is the "vent" to the top of the fuel tank :)

sure someone will correct me if im wrong!

edit it also stops any fuel starvation due to the pickup in the tank being exposed to air.

stowmaket suffolk

sorry bet but i think you are clutching at straws here that money spent could have gone towards a decent intercooler which would give much better reults.

but then i could be totaly wrong as im half cut on a whole bottle of shiraz and waiting for my tea

lol

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

It looks a well made item, but it has to be said that is it really needed??

I don't know of anyone else with a mini, turbo or NA, that uses one.

Hi,
I think it was worth the money (£35) as I'm running an estate and this seemed the easiest way to ensure a good fuel supply, as nobody made an MPI estate for me to use the tank out of! *wink*
I got the outlet pointed down at 45 degress so I can put the swirl pot on top of the wheel arch to feed down into the pump.
@ Evolution, You're right on the mark, saves me typing all that in too! *wink*
Cheers,
Gavin :)
