This is how it first started after being being stored under cover since 1991

As you can see it needed one hell of a clean.....

Note: massive arial

Horndean - Near Portsmouth

That cleaned up so well with a bit of elbow grease!!!

What are the plans for the car?

thanks for the comments all.

it did clean up fairly well, although i think the picture makes the paint look better than it actually is.

my plans are to get some minor welding done to it and get the bulkhead box put in (thanks to butter poppy for sending me his modified one). after welding has taken place it is going in for a respray.

i plan to have the inside all stripped out and have 2 bucket seats ready to go in.
Also have a turbo engine which i brought off wolfie a while ago.

and the intercooler is off a bmw 320d, i plan to have custom end caps put on it as it fits perfectly behind the clubman grill. does anyone know if this intercooler will do its job well?

Wow cleaned up really nice and looks pretty solid.
Although id have probably just cleaned the windscreen and then turbo'd it just to see the faces of the local units in thier chavmobiles.

Nice colour by the way.

Bit of a barn find there!!

If it were mine i'd leave the interior as it is, seem a shame to rip out such an original interior.

Thats the same Bimmer intercooler i'm going to be using,

have a look at my endcaps, and the inside of the core.

The car looks great! Keep the arial as well and buy a remote control, works well with the girls...*tongue*

What wheels are on the car? I think I've never seen them before..

thanks for the links, could come in handy. glad someone else has used this intercooler. i was worried about the airflow with the new end caps that would have to be made.

as regards to the alloys, they are KN wheels. I hadn't seen them before this either. I'm not planning on keeping them though as i brought some 10's of wolfie not so long ago.

the ariel is off, i do want to strap it to a remote control car for the hell of it, haha

Good luck with it
