New to the forum and looking to build a boot mounted turbo set up does anyone have any pictures or infomation? |

A few americans do this sort of thing, but I haven't seen it done on a mini. Why would you want to? |

I remeber seeing some pictures on here a few years ago, might have been under the back of a 205. Probably worth having a search. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

there was a 205 in one of the mags a few years back with a turbo mounted under the boot floor if that is what your thinking of Andy |

I think there are good engineering reasons for such a turbo placement. These are:
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Made good sense at the time mind you, but as above, never had any issues, was a lot of work, you loose your boot space, well I did and you don't get the full benefit and point of using a turbo in the first place.

Yes, it is losing energy as heat all the way to the turbo. That is why manifolds glow red, and tailpipes don't.
